Why Give

Why Give

Drive the Vision. Ignite Learning.
A successful Annual Fund strengthens all aspects of your child’s RCS experience and covers the cost of continuing education and professional development for our exceptional faculty and staff, experiential and immersive learning initiatives, including our Learning Immersion Days and other outside-of-the-classroom experiences, robust arts and athletics offerings, including new sports like squash, cross-country and volleyball, State-of-the-Art technology in the classrooms and need-based tuition assistance to outstanding students.
"A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees." - Amelia Earhart

Four Reasons to Give

1. Participating in the Annual Fund to the best of your ability is one of the most meaningful ways to show support for Rippowam Cisqua and the people who make a difference.

2. The Annual Fund ensures quality in all that RCS is and does. It secures the current educational experience that we as alumni, parents, and friends of Ripp have come to value and respect. Ripp Kids deserve the best education that we can provide.

3. Foundations and major donors who Rippowam approaches for capital projects put a high premium on the percentage of participation among alumni and parents to the Annual Fund. Generous and widespread support indicates to them that “the customers are satisfied” and the school is worthy of their investment.

4. Generations of families offering their financial support have helped shape the Rippowam way we know today. We hope you will help us carry on that responsibility and ensure the quality of a Rippowam education for our current students as well as those to come.

FAQs

List of 3 frequently asked questions.

  • Q: Why not raise the tuition so that it covers 100% of the operating budget?

Charging the “full” tuition would put a Rippowam education out of the reach of many qualified students and would create a very homogeneous population. The diversity represented by the student body is an important aspect of the Rippowam community that the school values and seeks to preserve. In order to continue to provide opportunity for students from many different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds, it is necessary to find a fair way to counter increasing costs without significantly raising the tuition. Voluntary giving to the Annual Fund is an equitable way to counter rising educational costs and it is, unlike tuition payments, tax-deductible.
