What will your child create at Rippowam Cisqua School?
There is a sign hanging on our Lower Campus, in the same hallway as our Imagination Space, that asks, “What will you create?” This question is at the heart of much of what we believe about education at Rippowam Cisqua.
As a school that promotes a growth mindset, we are intentional partners with our students as they explore who they are and what they can be: as learners, as athletes and artists, and as individuals. We strongly value the concept of “yet,” as in you may not be able to accomplish that task yet, but with persistence, resilience, and confidence, you will eventually succeed. That limitless capacity to succeed is why we built an immersive and experiential program that promotes inquiry, creativity, and exploration.
At RCS, our mission is to create independent thinkers, confident communicators, and engaged leaders, which is supported by a philosophy that is powered by creativity and innovation.
Exploration, experimentation, and academic play are at the heart of our program, giving students age-appropriate instruction and experiences that invoke rigor, differentiation, and fun to create memorable learning experiences.
As students get older, we steadily increase the demands and teach them to take charge of their own educational journey through risk-taking, hard work, and self-advocacy.
Our exceptional teachers are students of their craft, which means they are consistently iterating their pedagogy to lift each student to their full potential. They also absolutely love working with children.
Our campuses and new educational spaces are sized to fit yet built to expand – just like young minds.
Every child is known and challenged according to their individual ability so that when they graduate, they leave with the tools to chart their own path and with the understanding that their futures are limitless.
As a PreK through Grade 9 school, we have the unique opportunity to teach these skills at the most crucial time of a child’s intellectual and emotional development. These are the years where curiosity and imagination thrive and when children can openly discover a love of learning that accelerates academic achievement and instills the positive character traits, confidence, and behaviors that create good citizens and great leaders. And because we start so early, RippKids have an extraordinary advantage over their peers when they move on.
Here, the journey is just as important as the outcome. Students imagine. They create and they learn to innovate. We invite you to begin your child’s journey by exploring our website and visiting our school to learn more about our program and community with the explicit goal of answering this important question: What will your child create as a student at Rippowam Cisqua School?
