PARENTING IN A CULTURE OF ANXIETY: How Educators Can Better Support the Next Generation of Families Hosted by Dr. Emily Gifford
Tuesday, June 18 at 12:00 p.m. Lunch will be served. Free to attend.
Today’s parents think about education differently. Raised in a post 9/11 climate and the age of the internet, this new generation of parents are abandoning “traditional” roles of parenting in favor of more modern approaches that are predicated on stress and anxiety.
This RippTalk is designed to take a look at how we as educators can support families who are facing anxiety that is sociologically and technologically driven as opposed to biologically ordained. Based on years of research and experience, Dr. Emily Gifford brings a constructive and functional approach to discussing today's parenting style and its effects on early childhood and elementary education.
Reserve your seat by June 15.
If you have any questions, please call Lori Adelsberg at (914) 244-1205.
