January 16 – Congratulations to eighth grader Sam Federman, the RCS Geography Bee champion – for the second year in a row.
Twenty-one Upper Campus students and three fourth grade students participated in the semifinals earlier in the week, with seven students qualifying to move on to the Geography Bee final round at an all-school assembly on Friday.
The enthusiasm for and knowledge about geography of all the students “was a great thing to witness!” Geo Bee moderator Jordan Schnell said. “It is not an easy thing to get on stage in front of your peers and teachers, and each of them competed well and should be very proud of making it as far as they did.”
Congratulations again to not only Sam, but to all the students who made it to the Playhouse stage!
