RCS Launches Professional Panel Series

On Tuesday, January 19, Rippowam Cisqua School hosted an in-depth conversation with co-founder and CEO of Republic Records Monte Lipman; Chairman and CEO of iHeartMedia, Inc., Bob Pittman; and Principal of Trinity Sports Holdings Peter Freund ‘91, who shared their insights within the sports, entertainment, media, and music industries. ABC News Correspondent Will Reeve ’07 moderated the hour-long discussion, launching Ripp Connections, a professional panel series designed to foster connections through the RCS network. A slate of industry specific discussions geared towards networking for our young alumni and professionals is planned throughout the winter and spring. 

Will Reeve’s thoughtfully crafted questions on topics ranging from how the pandemic has impacted the sports, entertainment, music, and media industries to advice for young people seeking to get a foot in the door, to reasons to have hope for the post-pandemic future gave each of the panelists a chance to reflect on their own experiences and share valuable insights on the lessons they learned along the way. 

Engaging and informed, Will Reeve set the tone for a compelling discussion. Monte Lipman commented that “being interviewed by Will Reeve is like having a catch with Tom Brady.”

The next Ripp Connections panel discussion is scheduled for February 24 featuring CEO of Rockefeller Capital Management Greg Fleming; Goldman Sachs Global Co-Head of Consumer and Wealth Management Stephanie Cohen; Former CEO of the Blackstone Group’s U.S. Industrial Real Estate division Ben Harris; and founder and CEO of CPI Brian O’Callaghan ’83, who will focus on finance in the first of this two-part industry event.
