Girls Varsity Volleyball
October 11 – Girls varsity volleyball is growing by leaps and bounds – the team has more than doubled since RCS added the sport to its fall roster three years ago.
“I think it’s a new program that the students feel they could play in high school – and it’s different from the sports they’re playing in the rec leagues outside of school,” volleyball coach Analia Pizzi said.”
The athletes are competing well; they walked off the court with a 3-0 win last week when they competed against Greenwich Country Day School. “They’re starting to come together as a team, encouraging and cheering each other on,” Coach Pizzi said. “The official at our last game said we’ve improved so much.”
