New Garden!

Thursday, October 4 – The RCS Garden Club members – Hazel Cameron ’23, Paige Eaves ’23, Caroline Kelleher ’23, Stella Levy ’23, and Kindergarten teacher Nicole Levy – are thrilled with the installation of the beautiful new garden on the Upper Campus.
Tucked in near the back patio, the garden is surrounded by a split rail fence and contains four large planting beds that will allow students to get dirty and creative as they work the soil, build supports, and plant vegetables and flowers. Together with Mrs. Levy students in the Garden Club will maintain the garden with a long-term goal of involving classes and connecting the garden meaningfully to curriculum.

Please support our Garden Club by entering the RCS Scarecrow Contest!

More about Nicole Levy

"I am a lifelong gardner and have always loved gardening with children, Mrs. Levy says. "To me gardening is about connecting to the natural world. It promotes, empathy, creativity, problem solving, and involves all the senses. I started and ran the Bedford Village Elementary Schoolhouse Garden, helped begin the Mount Kisco Elementary School Community Garden, and am a member of the Bedford Garden Club. I am so excited to be a part of the RCS Upper Campus Garden.
