Making a Difference

Alex Pall ’00, international DJ and producer, part of The Chainsmokers duo, along with Drew Taggert, rallied for a donation of 20,000 KN95 masks this week; 10,000 to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and 10,000 to the University Medical Center at Las Vegas.

“We wanted to do something to really help others,” said Alex. “We knew there was a severe shortage of masks, and through a friend – a retired NYPD cop who had access to a mask supply – we were able to spring into action and secure 20,000 of them.“

A heartfelt thank you to Alex Pall, who is just one more example of Ripp community members supporting our healthcare professionals on the front lines and making impactful donations.

“We wanted to give half to New York City, which is our home, and half to Las Vegas, which feels a lot like our second home,” he continued. “Hopefully we’ve made a small difference for some of the doctors and nurses on the frontlines, and to patients as well. We will continue to look for more ways to help.”
